Why I am Here: Encouraging Women to Dream, Thrive, and Believe

Welcome—I’m Tami Zanele Lawson Cross, founder of Zanele’s Faith Journeys. Above all, I love Jesus—He is my model, my unwavering source of strength, and my Hero. My journey and this community are grounded in His love and example.
My father’s words—“Life is a faith journey.”—are woven into everything I am. For years, they were my guideposts on days when hope felt fragile. My voice, “Walk boldly,” reminds me (and you) that courage is a choice we make every day. This tagline is not a catchphrase—it’s a living legacy, merging family wisdom with hard-earned perseverance.
Here, you’ll meet a Baltimore Ravens and a Baltimore Orioles fan who treasures a great NFL matchup (any teams) as much as quiet reflection. I’m an introvert by nature, a lover of old-school R&B and hip-hop, and someone who finds comfort in the TV classic, Sanford & Son (especially seasons 1–3). I love that show!
By sharing my journey, vulnerabilities, struggles, failures, and triumphs, I aim to inspire other women to know that faith and resilience can lead to amazing things. Being vulnerable is not easy, but if we stick together, we can build a community of strong, compassionate, and confident women who uplift one another.
This isn’t just “my” platform. It’s a space for genuine connection, healing, and faith-based encouragement, with Jesus as our ultimate example. If you want a supportive circle where your story is safe and your dreams are welcome, you’re already home.
Let’s walk this faith journey, boldly—together, with Jesus leading the way.
my Mission
Zanele’s Faith Journeys exists to inspire and empower women over 50 to walk boldly in faith; by being brave enough to pursue their dreams, faithful enough to trust the process, and kind enough to help another woman along the way.
Anchored in the love and example of Jesus, our community is dedicated to thriving together through encouragement, resilience, and authentic connection.

Proverbs 14:12 reminds us: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” I hold my own beliefs and practices with humility, recognizing that what I think works for me may actually be wrong—and if so, I pray the Lord reveals it to me.
I’m accountable to God for what I share here. I would encourage you to seek God and His wisdom for your own journey through prayer first, and then professional guidance. Whatever scriptures I share, read them for yourselves and seek the Lord for yourselves. Never take my (or anyone’s) word for it. That’s so important for your relationship with God and your faith journey. What works for me may not be what’s right for you.
